I'm Done With Payday 3

challenge

So it's been more than a month since I uploaded anything regarding P3. The last article I made was covering a P3 update that brought a bunch of new stuff to the game, and ever since that update dropped, it just made the game completely unbalanced. The new armor type, the adrenaline mechanic, and the 42 skill line just make the game so much easier, even with the hardest difficulties.

I played like one game with it then got off right after because it was so easy to the point where I got bored of using it all, and ever since then I was hoping for the next update, Pay 3. A Pay 3 Dead diary article was recently released, and in the article, they talk about the next update for Pay 3 that will be released around the last week of April and the first week of May.

This update will add quickplay. They say the addition of quick play will allow players to easily join Heist if they match their desired difficulty settings, and alongside quick play, there will be player merging, which will let players remain in the party after Heist if they wish to continue with the same team.

They will also be adding skip Heist intros; if you're solo, you can skip the Heist intro immediately. But if you're in a group, you have to vote to skip the heist intro. I feel like if everyone in the group had this enabled, it should automatically skip instead of having to be voted on, but it is what it is: a shot grenade is coming into pay three.

This grenade will basically allow you to disable enemies and let you kill zappers immediately, and the last thing that's coming into this update is that they fixed all the issues that made the game crash. The only good thing that's coming in this update is quick play, for, you know, the very few people that still play this game.

This Pay 3 update is a huge disappointment. This update might not be the only disappointing thing that might be coming into the game soon, as there was recently a blog post that mentioned six new loud modifiers and a new difficulty coming to the game in the future update. In the blog post, they talk about the new difficulty, and they say we have an internal design for potential difficulty above Overkill, but we're holding off on it for year one.

As we want to focus more on pressing issues, we don't always want to resort to just increasing the damage enemies deal or their HP, as we feel we're already pushing it on Overkill. That means that whatever solution we come up with, it will likely take time to implement. In general, we expect a few more systems that we're adding to the game this year to make the game easier and harder in different ways.

We're currently focusing on improving the options and play style. Varity in the game, and once we think that's in a good state, we'll start looking at whatever we end up calling the difficulty above Overkill and when it comes to these new loud modifiers. They are quite interesting. They said we're aiming to add loud modifiers in May or June, which will make the comeback very hard and overkill difficulty in general.

We want to alternate, giving players more power and options. Making the game harder makes it easier for us to identify issues, but it also gives players some time to adjust new options, new turrets, and separate updates. In terms of Ading and the 42 skill line, we're going to hold off any major adjustments until after the loud modifiers have been released.

One change we will make in the meantime is to increase the damage to special enemies due to adrene, specifically things like Zapper electrocution. Cloer beatdowns would do somewhere between double and triple damage to adrenaline. We haven't decided on the actual values yet, so instead of adjusting the broken stuff, they're just going to fix it with random modifiers to each high and increase the damage from special enemies.

I mean, I don't know if that's going to make the game harder, but I mean, we'll just see that these new modifiers they're adding are also pretty dumb. I was scrolling through them, and some of the modifiers should not be in the game; there's a modifier called the armor-piercing modifier. It has 10% damage.

Law enforcement deals with armor and also applies it to health, so not only are you losing armor, you're also losing health as well. That's going to be pretty annoying. There's a reflector Shields modifier, where Shields come equipped with a light that blinds players. I'm pretty sure there was an enemy like that in playday 2 that was annoying as [__] to deal with, so I don't know why they're holding back in pay three, and another modifier that's kind of annoying is called hard bargaining.

Players can't leave custody without hostage trades. Getting a player out of custody costs one hostage plus one additional hostage. For each time they've been in custody or have killed a civilian, this modifier is annoying because it makes me kind of feel like I have to focus more on civilians, especially at the later stages when the heist gets more difficult, and not only that, some heists don't even have that many civilians, and if you don't have any civilians, you're basically stuck just watching The Heist being played out instead of playing it, but hey, at least we'll be getting a new lmg soon, so they'll make up for it.

These modifiers shouldn't be added to the game. In my opinion, I'm pretty sure anyone who sees these three modifiers whenever they do a heist is probably just going to back out because they look like a pain. I asked De if that's everything when it comes to the blog post, but yeah, things for Pay3 aren't looking that good.

There's also some more Pay3 news that recently came out, which isn't really good. Starb released an annual report for P3, and it has some interesting stuff mentioned in it, like how Starb is working on two other games that were released before 2028. And they only have around 200 employees to make these games alongside working on P3, so I can imagine that there aren't that many people working on P3 at the moment, which explains a lot seeing how long these updates are taking and what we're getting in them after seeing this next update that we're getting, the blog post that recently came out, and the annual report.

game

I think pay3 is a kind of DB, for with the current state P3 is in, there is nothing to do in P3. It's been about 4 months since the first DLC came out, and we still don't know when the second DLC is coming out. Since it was delayed, they're about to ruin Pay3 with the gameplay modifiers and them not fixing the broken stuff in the game, and after seeing the starb report.

I think Pay3 is going to continue to struggle to deliver everything and operation Metab Bag and making the game better. All this makes me the only one who cares about Pay3 anymore. I'm tired of having to wait for this game to get better. It's hard to make articles in the game that have nothing to do with it, and I'm also tired of only making update articles when not much is changing in the game.
