Payday 3 - Top 10 Tips For Loud Overkill (solo And Online)

Intro

Intro

Today we're going to be talking about the top 10 tips for loud gameplay. I have beat nearly every single map solo in Overkill, purely out loud. There have been a couple of maps that I have not yet been able to complete due to the fact that the map really, really does rely on teamwork, and as you all may know, the AI is utterly useless.

So today we're going to be talking about the top 10 tips when it comes to approaching loud gameplay on Overkill. It's difficult now, even though most of my gameplay has been specifically solo. These tips will definitely apply for group play because if it works in Solo then it will definitely work in group gameplay as well so this applies to pretty much everybody that does play loud, and as you may know if you play online, then most of your runs will end up going loud anyways cuz somebody always messes up in the stealth so these tips should help out just about everybody now these are not going to be ranked in any particular order these are just 10 of the best tips that I could compile for this article so let's start off with the first one builds that give you infinite ammo make sure that you constantly have a build that is able to supply you with infinite ammo these builds will be extremely necessary for us to be successful.

In Overkill, difficulty, when we're going loud and if you are unsure on how to build your character to be able to have infinite ammo and I'm going to quickly go over it now but yeah you basically want to make sure that you always have the infinite ammo build, or else you are going to be struggling really hard on Overkill, as you will constantly run out of ammo, and just have to rely on your solder armor, more often than not even running out of ammo on both weapons and just kind of having nothing to fight with so to build your character to have infinite ammo is actually quite easy for you to have infinite ammo you don't actually need to invest that many skill points into it all that you're really going to be needing is to be spending one point in mower, so that you can unlock its tree, and with that you're going to want to spend your skill points on both ammo funnel which is going to be giving you ammo directly onto your weapons magazine which is going to be quite useful.

And replenishment is going to be extremely important, as you're killing people from very far away. Of course, you don't actually have to D bodies and pick up the ammo boxes that they drop; they just come instantly into your inventory. And with the combination of ammo funnels, it means that it actually comes on your weapons magazine, so you don't even need to reload.

With most weapons, you can have infinite ammo in the sense that you don't even need to reload. It's not just infinite ammo on the reserves, but rather you actually constantly get ammo back on your actual magazine, and you never have to reload throughout the entire run unless you're missing a head shot.

For both of these skills, you do need to have Edge, and to do that, what you will want to do will depend on whether you want to go with either Sharpshooter or Gunslinger. Personally, I recommend Gunslinger, but Sharpshooter is a viable choice as well, and what you will want to do depends on the build and whether you're going Sharpshooter or Gunslinger.

You will want to Ace it because both of these skills are needed when you perform a head shot while aiming downside or while not aiming downside when it comes to Gunslinger. Which means you will also have ammo funnel and replenish up time the entire time, meaning that it makes you essentially have infinite ammo, and it's just that simple, so it's just those five points that you have to invest, again once in mower, once in ammo funnel, and once in replenish.

And twice in either Sharpshooter or Gunslinger. And there you go. You now have infinite.

The next tip on the list is to utilize Iz bathrooms and small rooms often, especially in Solo Overkill. You will be overwhelmed with cops it will prevent you from being able to continue on doing your objectives, and if you choose to go for your objectives often times it will result into you dying so often times you'll actually be better off just utilizing the bathrooms or any small room just getting into that room, and just killing cops over and over and over again getting that infinite ammo when you're in this room you are completely safe if you equipped with appropriate weapons that are one hit head shots then you will kill absolutely anybody that's trying to come into the room without even taking any damage so what you can do is you just go into a bathroom for example, just kill off cops until the wave ends and when the wave does end then you can proceed onto your objectives. But yeah you want to make sure you want to utilize these bathrooms and the small rooms, every time you're starting to get over overwhelmed don't be shy and don't try to be a hero and try to push through the objectives, on Overkill you will die extremely easily, especially your AI teammates now if you're in a group of four people especially when you're talking about four competent players then you probably will not be needing to use this but if your teammates are going down and you need to stay alive to save the game all you have to do is just run in a bathroom and kill anybody that goes in there and you will be good to go for the third one utilize hostages after the first wave so personally every time I play Loud Overkill what I will do is I will intimidate all of the hostages.

I will tie up a couple of them; usually, I tie up about four or five of them, and I make sure that I protect them throughout the entire first wave. Of the cops going in, I try to make sure that they do not get rescued, because after the first wave ends, what you can do, as you may know, is trade hostages for resources.

Also read:

It says resources, but really all it means is to trade just one of them before the waves start kicking in because that first wave ends. You just run to them and trade them all for health packs, and now you will have health packs all over the map that's going to be able to replenish you throughout your Overkill playthrough, so I would recommend just utilizing hostages in this way.

Another way that I utilize the hostages is to trade just one of them before the waves start kicking in, because that first trade, you know, will save you about 10 to 15 seconds. And it's just one hostage, so in my opinion it's worth the trade, but yeah, what you can also do is just tie up a bunch of different hostages, like something like 10 of them, and then you don't have to worry about them getting rescued because chances are they're not actually all going to be rescued anyways because there's too many of them. But yeah, just make sure you trade them after the first wave has gone.
