Payday 3: Update 1 Out Now. Bug Fixes, Improvements & More

What that means is that you will finally see when you finish a Payday 3 heist what favor you unlock for a different heist if you aren't up to date. Basically, you can unlock heist-specific favors for different heists. I'm very excited to see that some fixed translation issues overlapping text, all sorts of things like that added icon for when buffs are blocked due to certain skills intriguing.

Drop-down for offline friends, and social screens should now be displayed correctly. I mean, that does work, but I can't see my online friends. Fixes for cameras and all sorts of things like that player stats are now shown in the results screen when failing a heist, so that's intriguing. I think that's a good idea.

On top of that, there are a few other things in here. I think I did see something earlier that suggested that when you are in a lobby, you'll see the correct levels for players now, because I noticed that was a problem when you were joining. Yeah, there it is player names and INF levels not loading correctly and displaying wrong information, so when people were joining lobbies, it was saying they were level 40, 000 or minus 3, 000, so that should be fixed as well as adjustments made to fonts in the settings menu.

Maybe I've got a bugged version of the game or something. Maybe it's like the early version of Crime Boss where you couldn't match make with other people so easily, but something's not right on my end, so either that fix is not quite as accurate as their expecting or.

There's a whole heap of things that have changed. Cinematic audio volume is now affected by master volume, so that's good. Do we have a note somewhere that sounds like PS5 cutscenes? Now i don't see that the voiceover will no longer play when players return to the main menu after canceling matchmaking, so we won't hear it.

Let's get in the back of the saddle quite as much, so there's something there. The wolf will now whisper instead of screaming for medic bags during stealth gameplay. I'm sure the Wolf players will be quite upset about that. More door sounds and more sound effects are an issue. A human shield takedown sound effect would not stop if you reloaded your gun while choking someone out.

Subtitle fixes for Story articles; that's good; they were horrifically out of sync on Xbox, so I'm glad to see that those are hopefully working much better. Fixed deployables floating in the air, ISSU deployables floating on doors, and things like that, basically making things look better, which is very good.

Fixed multiple minor graphical issues on the front part of the bank and no rest for the wicked; that's good; no rest for the wicked, not of the wicked. I added a fix. Switching between sprinting and placing tools wouldn't cause issues. There's a whole other heap of things here, but also fix an issue on lower graphical settings for those of you on lower graphical PCS, causing the door of the Escape helicopter to appear broken. Cool to see that fixed as well.

Finally, the last big section is the heist changes. Have I got everything on the screen there? Yes, I have favors and difficulties that are no longer visible in tutorials when holding the tab, which is intriguing. Well, I suppose you don't need them in tutorials, so yeah, that makes sense.

Deployables no longer disappear when thrown through vents. There are loads of different things here; I wonder if they have been fixed: the 99 boxes, the security room. Aha, there it is. I added a fix: the security door was openable without a blue key card on the 99 boxes. Ironically, I have no idea where that key card is, so now I'll have to actually find it because I've been opening the door while it's been letting me in the whole time.

Do you blame me? I don't blame myself. There's a whole heap of other things here that you can look through, some really interesting fixes that have been dotted throughout here, and I'm very, very glad to see that we've got a whole heap of things. I was worried with it being the first half split of the patch that we weren't going to see a lot of fixes because it was a small breakoff patch, so I'm glad that that's not the case.

Known issues

Finally, it's important to note the known issues for this update, so the challenges being stuck at one out of one, which is an issue I've got, can now be unlocked by completing the challenge again or by completing the highest difficulty challenge in the sequence. So perhaps if you have a certain complete Heist on this many times on a difficulty Challenge, and you've already passed through it and not gotten the award unlocking the highest one so completing Heist 100 times will unlock the 10 times one so basically, some one way or another it will unlock for you now if it's not instant so that's good also with the weapon charms and Death Wish reward from the Payday 2 to Payday 3 cross promotion campaign most of us know it as Infamous Rewards, have not been properly granted and they hope to have this issue fully resolved by the next patch so people who can't see their Infamous rewards that's not been fixed this time around but it hopefully be fixed by the next one I know for a fact that I have the Death Wish skull, which I think is a charm, and I've only beaten up Mayhem, so the unlocks were not properly and correctly allocated, but hopefully they will be addressed very soon.
